To get Maximum Antioxidants, Brew your own Tea at Home

Brewing Your Own Tea At Home is Healthier
It may seem like extra work at home, but brewing your own tea at home is far better than buying bottled ice tea. According to the American Chemical Society, bottled teas can have as little as 3 mg of polyphenols, which are antioxidants that help prevent cancer and diabetes. Don’t forget about the added preservatives and crazy amounts of sugar too! On the plus side, if you brew your own tea at home (let the tea leaves steep for 6-10 minutes) you get a whopping 150 mg of polyphenols. That’s 50 times more than you are getting in that expensive bottle of ice tea! As a side note, you need 125 mg per day to reap the most health benefits from tea.

So get that tea pot out that you have been hiding in your kitchen cabinet and start steeping!

Positive Affects of Staying Hydrated

Everyone always says how important it is to stay hydrated, especially now that the weather is getting warmer and more humid. The benefits of giving your body plenty of water are huge, and it’s so easy to do! The suggestion of having eight 8-ounce glasses of water in a day is no longer widely accepted. A good trick to find out how much water you should be drinking is to take your weight (in pounds) and multiply it by 0.5 and 0.7. The two numbers you get is the range of the amount of water you should drink, in ounces, each day.

Keeping your body hydrated will have incredible outcomes. Being dehydrated, or under-hydrated, can cause headaches and fatigue. Drinking more will keep you energized and reduce the number of headaches you have.

By drinking more water, you will also help boost your immune system. This means you will be less susceptible to colds and allergies simply by staying hydrated. Joint and muscle pain is another common complaint that can be aided by drinking more water. Another great benefit: when your cells are well-hydrated by drinking enough water on a regular basis, it is easier for them to burn fat. So a great tip if you’re trying to get fit or lose weight is to drink more.

So grab that water bottle and keep it with you throughout the day. Always having water with you will make it even easier to keep hydrated, and start enjoying your improved health because of it.

Keep in mind you need really 5 things to stay at your best health and pain free: Eat right (that included drinking alot of good water), exercise, rest, decrease stress, and keep your spine in good alignment.
