What is Homeopathy? Would using a neck pillow be Homepathic?
![]() |
HELP THE BODY HEAL ITSELF |
In other words, helping the body to heal itself better naturally. Losing that neck curve is one of the most common postural misalignment, and especially these day with the extra computer time, and time texting, etc, it's more common than you think.
So, using a neck pillow like the Cervical Linear traction Pillow can be a great natural way to get rid of problematic symptoms like neck pain.

I Love My Cervical Traction Pillow!
![]() |
Feedback for the arc4life pillow |
I used to have a lot of neck pain until I bought my traction pillow from Arc4life. I used the traction “V” side of the pillow which really helped my neck pain. When the pain subsided I turned the pillow around and used the Linear Gravity side. This is the side I currently use every night; I don’t know how I lived without it!
- Dr. Matt Bellinger, Glastonbury CT 08/14/2012
I as described and it seems to improve my neck function, decrease my pain.

The New Arc4life Neck Pillow: Extra Neck Support for those who like a firmer pillow
At Arc4life.com, we are constantly adding new products, new product descriptions, patient testimonials and more information that can help you make the right decision about pain relief.
Recently we added a new version of the arc4life cervical traction neck pillow. It is not yet available on www.arc4life.com, but is available on our sister site: The Neck Pain Relief Shop. It will be available on www.arc4life.com in a few months.
Over the years, we have received many requests for a firmer traction pillow. Well the Extra Firm Cervical Linear Traction neck pillow is now available: it has about 25% more fiber fill than the regular traction pillow. It is still the same size: 20" x 26" still considered a standard size. However, this pillow offers more support, and is firmer.
Also of note, this is a special order item for Arc4life. We don't make these pillows everyday. This pillow involves more labor, and more material. The shipping on the pillow will take longer, and the usual return policy that applies to our other pillows does not apply to the extra firm pillow.
We have hesitated over the years to make a firmer pillow because for most patients this can be very uncomfortable to use. Especially, when one suffers from a herniated or bulging disc. However, some people want that extra support, and extra traction; we know because it has been requested on a number of occasions by our established customers. Incidentally, one advantage with the extra firm pillow is that it will last longer, because naturally there is more fiber in the pillow: it is more dense, and will break down less than the regular pillow.
Visit the Neck Pain Relief Shop for More Details on this Pillow.

“My Arms keep Falling Asleep when I’m in Bed”
Pillows age over time, just like anything. This can mean that the pillow that once helped you get a great night’s sleep may be the reason you are now waking up at night. Find out what to look for in a pillow and when to know that it’s time to find a new support pillow to get a better night’s sleep.
I have found this often happens when the pillow this individual uses has either lost its support or did not have any support to begin with.
One of my patients had mentioned this happening when he was using a feather pillow. He would wake up because his arms would go tingly, then he’d squish more pillow under his neck, fall back to sleep, only to have it happen again during the night. Talk about ruining your night of sleep.
I recommended our Cervical Traction Pillow, which holds the neck support and is very comfortable at the same time. He hasn’t had this issue since!
This is exactly what you need in a neck pillow: something that’s comfortable yet will hold your neck alignment in place. Every time, any pillow will lose some support.

Strain of the Upper Back…What Can I Do?
![]() |
Upper Back Pain can be common in athletes and for people who work on the computer |
One of the best things to do in this case is use a neck pillow. What you’ll notice, I’ll bet, is that even though the pain may be between the shoulder blades or up closer to the shoulder, it is made worse by moving your neck. Not only that your neck range of motion may be limited.
We need to align the neck as good as possible because nerves that exit between neck vertebrae mainly supply the upper back. For example- your trapezius muscle, which is a large muscle that covers a good portion of the back of the neck and upper back is mainly innervated by cervical nerves. What does this mean? Well, it tells us we need to keep the neck nerves free from pressure for the upper back to work like it should.
This is exactly what a neck pillow is designed to do. With arc4life's cervical traction pillow, not only does it align the neck but it also gives a gentle neck stretch opening up the nerve holes, and releasing more pressure.
So even if you have pain lower down, look to the neck spine for issues also. It may be the reason for your pain and has been going unnoticed.

Amazon Testimonial #48 for Arc4life's Cervical Neck Pillow
Here it is, Amazon's Testimonial #48 for the Cervical Traction Neck Pillow:
"This is by far the most comfortable pillow I've used"
"After having trouble finding the right pillow and going through a number of mornings with stiff neck, I came across this pillow. This is a back sleeper pillow. What I like most about the pillow is the raised neck and shallow middle for my head. Most of the other pillows I've tried were either too soft and didn't have enough neck support, or were too firm and felt like I had my head tilted upwards. I even tried the memory foam, both normal and ergonomically shaped pillows. While the ergo memory foam pillow would have extra neck support which I wanted, I felt it was tall and stiff lifting my head up to high and exaggerating the curve of my neck. I would usually end up taking a softer pillow and scrunching it up behind my neck to add extra support without all the head elevation.
This pillow is almost 3 pillows (maybe 4) in one. The top main side (V shaped side) has the most neck support and bracing to help keep your head centered. If you rotate it 180 degrees, (so the V looks like an A) there is slightly less neck elevation/support if the V side is too extreme for you. If you prefer less neck elevation, flip the pillow over. The back side has a softer neck support area and but still has the shallow center for your head.
This is by far the most comfortable pillow I've used because of the neck support and shallow center for my head. If you're a back sleeper and can't find the right pillow to support your neck, try this out. "
The Cervical Traction Neck Pillow is currently available at Amazon.com and at Arc4life.com, under the category Neck Pillows > Traction for the Neck.

Neck Pillow Success Story #137
Sara had been suffering with neck pain for over 4 weeks. She tried a number of different pillows and neck pillows to help relieve her neck pain. It wasn’t until she tried the cervical linear traction pillow that she awoke for the first time in weeks with no neck pain.
Some people, like Sara, may get results almost immediately, others it may take some time. In this individual’s case, she has tried neck pillows before and she has also seen a chiropractor. So, for Sara, it will be able to adjust to a new neck pillow or neck roll.
For a customer that has never used a neck pillow or neck roll, he or she may have some neck soreness when they first start using the traction pillow. It will also depend on the severity and amount of time of their condition.
So, in a lot of cases, people will take to this pillow right away, but it is also completely normal to have soreness in the beginning with this neck pillow too. In fact soreness or feeling good are both good signs that change is occurring. People with neck pain that are the same day after day is often a sign it will take longer to fix the pain.

Can I Get My Traction Pillow In A Smaller Size?
Arc4life's cervical linear traction neck pillow is one of the most popular neck pillows on the market today. It helps with a variety of symptoms such as neck pain, neck ache, stiff neck, herniated disc, bulging disc- it provides for a more comfortable and quality sleep.
The traction pillow really only comes in a medium or standard size. The dimensions are 20 inches by 26 inches. Well I won’t say that any longer, we now also offer a large size traction pillow (21"x33") too. Unfortunately it does not come in a small because to make the “V” section we need more room and space for material. If someone is shorter than about 5’1” or has a very short neck we recommend the linear gravity small pillow. If someone is taller than 6’2” the large traction or large linear gravity may be a better support.
That being said, the majority will find that the standard size traction pillow will be the right fit for them. If for some reason it’s uncomfortable at first, start using the other side which is the support side.

Poor Neck Posture Puts Pressure
On Your Discs
On Your Discs

Forward Head Posture is on of the most common misalignments out there, but there are other common neck abnormalities like head tilt and a neck that is shifted laterally. THEY ALL PUT EXTRA PRESSURE ON THE DISCS!
This spine is built in a way that it can withstand various forces on it such as gravity pushing down, turning, jumping, twisting, etc…
Any shift in the spine, whether it’s forward head or another misaligned posture, puts increased pressure on the spine and discs makingyour chance of getting neck pain or problems greater.
Use one of our neck pillows to align your neck preventing pain, poor neck posture, and disc degeneration. Our most popular pillow is the Cervical Linear Traction Neck Pillow. Read what others have said about the Traction Pillow.

Help Me! My husband Snores and I Cannot Sleep!!!

In the vast majority of snorers it’s an obstruction of airway. Breathing is extremely important because getting fresh air through your system is very valuable in your body functions and processes. Almost every reaction in your body uses oxygen. Fresh oxygen also helps detoxify your body. We know without air we cannot survive !
Whether you notice it or not snoring will also prevent you and who ever can hear you for a good nights sleep. The body performs many healing functions when you sleep and without a good amount of rest your body and mind will not work at its best. Just think of how you feel the next day if you didn’t sleep much the night before.
The Cervical Traction Neck Pillow puts your neck in its optimal position. This not only reduces pressure or nerves in your neck but allows for all your nasal passages to stay in an open clear position.

Clearly keeping all your nasal passage ways allows for air to move in and out freely reducing and preventing snoring. Something that many people overlook however is that keeping pressure of nerves communication to your sinuses and air passageways also plays a vital role.
Every aspect of our body and its functions are controlled by our nervous system. If we keep pressure and unwanted stress off of the nerves communication to our sinuses and nasal passageways we ensure that all is functioning 100%. Remember, any pressure on our nerves means that the part of the body those nerves innervate is not functioning at its best.
The right neck pillow puts your neck spine in its proper position. It helps keep the neck spine free and clear of any nerve pressure. This is often why the breathing strips placed over the nose sometimes do not work. The really only help open one air passage but don’t do anything for the nerves. The cervical traction neck pillow helps with both.
Some other things that may be contributing to the snoring is poor air quality. In the winter time when the air is oten more dry an the furnace is always running you may notice the snoring problem more. Allergens in the air can also contribute to the problem.
The Cervical Traction neck pillow is made with special hypoallergenic fibers and also is available with a dust protector cover to protect it from the outside dust and allergens in the air. This can be very helpful to individuals with dust allergies that can be contributing to the problem.
Also I recommend changing your air filters frequently and often cleaning your air ducts periodically to reduce dust and allergies in your homes air supply. Sometimes a humidifier in the bedroom may help put a little moisture in the air. So start in the path to getting rid of your snoring habit by choosing the rght neck pillow. Not only will it make your loved ones happier but it will improve your health.

Review for the Cervical Traction Neck Pillow

Courtesy of the Great Reviewer on Associated Content: Cervical Traction Neck Pillow Review
Cervical Linear Traction Neck Pillow is indeed quite a confusing product as it has given me mixed results. I think different people sleep differently and there is quite a deal of mixed reviews regarding this product. I am impressed by the superior design and the material used for its construction. Let us look into the design aspects of this pillow. The special "V" shape in this Cervical Linear Traction Neck Pillow ensures your head and neck are supported properly. Proper support is vital to induce sleep into the body. We get irregular sleeping hours owing to the various postures we take while sleeping. A proper posture cannot be attained suddenly. We need some external assistance to achieve it. Cervical Linear Traction Neck Pillow fills this void wonderfully.
As our spine is aligned in the best natural way possible, it gives you enormous comfort and it enhances your circulation. As the spine is properly supported, the air passes through your nasal cavities with enormous ease. No wonder, this Cervical Linear Traction Neck Pillow gives you reduced snoring. As the muscles get relaxed owing to proper blood flow, the mind too gets relaxed giving you sound sleep. No wonder you feel fresh irrespective of the time, once you lay your head on this Cervical neck pillow.
Initially, I had trouble adjusting my neck to this pillow. I used to turn a lot while sleeping and I found this pillow annoying. In course of time I adjusted to this pillow and to my relief, I have found it to be an amazing product. I never had any chronic pain, but I do believe a correct posture would do overall good to my body. I would suggest you to buy one if you can adjust to this Cervical Linear Traction Neck Pillow. Initially it may trouble you and in some cases you may not even get sleep.
My sincere advice is, buy one of these pillows and adjust yourself. You may not have any chronic pain or any problem whatsoever. You need to experience it, to accept it. I can never tell you in words, how a sound sleep would feel like. Go ahead, buy one of these Cervical Linear Traction Neck Pillows, adapt to it and refresh yourself, day after day. This is a must buy pillow. I am totally satisfied with this product and I would advise each and every one of you to buy one.

Choosing the Right Neck Pillow based on your Needs and Pain
Do you have neck pain? Stiff neck? Numbness and Tingling in the arms? Do you travel a lot? Are you a petite framed person? Well today i am going to tell you how to choose the right neck pillow based on your needs. There are many different kinds of pillows online and it can be very disheartening to choose the perfect one. Here are some Criteria to Consider:

- Do you do a lot of traveling? If you are one of those people who are putting a lot of miles on frequent flier program, you may want to consider a travel pillow. A travel neck pillow is often U shaped. It can used while you are sitting waiting for your airplane, or sitting on the airplane. A good travel neck pillow will now allow you to sleep upright without straining your neck to the side or going back wards. Arc4life carries a wonderful U Shaped Memory Foam Pillow- it will become your companion on those long airplane trips!
- Do you have mild-moderate neck pain and need a support while sleeping? There are many cervical pillows online that are perfect for support. Often these pillows will have an indentation in the middle of the neck pillow and wings on the side- allowing you to sleep on your side or on your back. For a good support neck pillow check out Arc4life's Linear Gravity Neck Pillow
- Do you have a "military neck"? This is a diagnosis in the neck- what it means is the a cervical spine is straight and not curved in a "c" position like a normal neck curve. This is often seen on a lateral cervical x-ray. In this case, a traction neck pillow will be a good choice for you. Althought this type of a neck pillow can take a while to get used to, providing that extra stretch in your neck will give your neck the traction it needs to be in the proper cervical lordosis, thereby giving your neck pain relief. The Cervical traction Neck Pillow is a great traction neck pillow that is dr recommended.
- Are you buying a pillow based on your frame? Are you 4'11 and petite framed individual? Or perhaps you are a 6'2 college football player. Either way, the average medium sized neck pillow is not going to be a good fit for you. There are good support neck pillows on the market today that come in a variety of sizes. The Linear Gravity Neck Pillow comes in 3 sizes- small, medium and large. The small size pillow is perfect for people who are of height 5'0" or less and the large linear gravity is good for people over 6'0. This is a good support pillow that can be used by side and back sleepers.
- Are you looking for a particular filling for your pillow? Are you allergic to fiber or foam and are looking for a specific all natural filling? Buckwheat neck pillows have become very popular. The natural filling of this kind of pillow has some advantages over conventional fiberfill, foam, or feather fillings. The most important quality for the relief of pain is that the material conforms to the exact contours of the head and neck providing support. This means that you have the same amount of support in all areas minimizing the stress on all areas of support. Other filling materials which compress, try to recover their original shape and this puts stress on the muscles of the neck. Other advantages of the buckwheat hull filling are the "cool in the summer, warm in the winter" insulating properties, the ability to adjust the size to your individual needs by removing or adding back filler so the pillow fits you just right. Check out www.OriginalBuckWheatPillows.com for more information.
- Are you looking for a pillow for headache relief? A neck pillow specially geared for relief of headaches must be one that targets the cervical paraspinal and suboccipital muscles of your neck. Also, if the pillow has an element of cold therapy that will make it ideal for a headache pillow as well. The Headache Ice Pillo can be used to target migraine and tension headaches. It allows you to use medically recommended cold pack for those acute painful conditions or gives your muscles a chance to relax.

I ordered the neck pillow as i have chronic muscle spasms and my x-ray is identical to the image on the little booklet that came with the pillow. I received the traction pillow yesterday and tried it last night. I found it extremely comfortable and had no issues falling asleep. i worked out in the gym yesterday and usually the day after im in a lot of pain i have had this problem for nearly a year now and have found no relief other than maybe using emu oil and NSAID's. I had a pleasant nights sleep and when i woke up i didn't feel any discomfort or stiffness. It really works and i dont think i'll ever want to part with it. I want to order 2 more for people with the similar problem in my family. Thanks

Choosing the right neck pillow based on your symptoms
Choosing the right neck pillow can be difficult because there are so many choices online, in the stores, and at your Doctors office. Which one is right for you? I would like to share a few emails that we have received in the past month about this very topic of choosing the right neck pillow:
Email #1
I was all set to order one of your pillows but now I am a little confused. I really do not have a medical problem. Please recommend one of your pillows for me. I wake up several times during the night uncomfortable with neck and shoulder pain. In the past I owned a contour memory foam pillow which I did not like. That pillow made my jaw ache. I am 5'3" tall, weigh 150lbs. Please recommend the right pillow for me. -Osi
Answer: I would recommend the cervical traction neck pillow for Osi. Because she has tried a countour memory foam pillow in the past, the cervical traction neck pillow will be a good firmness but not as hard as the foam.
This particular pillow is made of 100% polyester fiber and does not change based on temperature changes. She can sleep on her side or on her back. It would be advantageous to her to sleep on her back because then she can avoid contact with her jaw. Sleeping on her back can be also made more comfortable by putting pillows or a knee elevator under her knees, instantly taking the pressure off of her lower back.

Hi there! I have a question - I was recently told I have a straight neck due to the loss of curvature. I'm trying the 'Therapeutica' one from my Dr.'s office but it isn't too comfortable for me, when on my side. That pillow comes in different sizes. Since proper height of the pillow is important, can you tell me how your pillow works if one size is for all? I've been trying for a very long time to find a pillow that is comfortable. Thank you.- Michelle
Answer: In this case I would recommend the Cervical Traction Neck Pillow for Michelle. The reason is that she needs traction in her neck while she sleeps to put the proper cervical curve back in her neck. If Michelle is a petite-framed person that is of height less than 5.0 ft, I would recommend for her the linear gravity neck pillow Small.
This is an excellent support neck pillow- although it is not going to give as much traction in the neck like the cervical traction pillow, it will still give her good support under her neck in the c shape form, and the pillow will be proportionally sized for her. The Small Linear Gravity Neck Pillow is 20 inches x 13 inches in dimension. *** Incidentally, we have received many questions about the one size fits all for the cervical traction neck pillow. We have spoken to our manufacturing department and because of the design of the neck pillow, it cannot be made any smaller than what it is right now.

I have had cervical disc replacement surgery. I have been looking at your net traction pillow. I also have had lower back surgery and have been looking at your lumbar chair pillows. If I were to order either of these and they do not work, can they be returned? Thank you for your interest, and your response.- Marble
Answer: Yes, we have a 30 day return policy. Just contact us within 30 days and you can return any item. There is a 15% restocking fee and shipping is non refundable. Just email us at info@arc4life.com and let us know that you are returning the pillow back.

I am interested in the Cervical Traction Neck Pillow. I'm trying to establish if it will be the right pillow for me. I have had neck and shoulder pain forever. I currently use a feather pillow and was told by my chiropractor to replace it. I am bascially a side sleeper and wonder if this pillow will help me and how hard it will be to adjust to using it. -Juhy.jpg)
Answer::
Yes, you can sleep on your side and on your back with the cervical traction neck pillow.

What would be the best sleeping pillow for somone with a problem in the 5th and 6th vertabrae that has been instructed to "get the curve" back into their neck? -Jatinder
Answer: The Cervical Traction Neck Pillow will be a good choice for a pillow because is designed to give you traction in your neck while you sleep. Traction, over time has been found to improve the cervical curvature in the neck. It would also be a good idea to use the traction device during the day- that will dramatically improve the cervical curvature of your spine. Check out the Pronex Pneumatic Cervical Traction Unit.

Choosing the right neck pillow for your needs....
Choosing the RIGHT neck pillow can be very difficult, especially with the vast array of neck pillows available online today. At Arc4life, we specialize in finding the right neck pillow for your needs. What are you looking for in your neck pillow? Are you looking for a neck pillow that will give you pain relief, support, traction or headache relief ? Maybe you are looking for a neck pillow that you can use for travel? Every one has a different medical history, and their needs will be different accordingly. If you are looking for a good support neck pillow, try the linear gravity neck pillow.
Support Neck Pillow
The linear gravity neck pillow is an excellent choice for support. This neck pillow is available in three sizes- small, medium and large. Someone who is of height of less than 5 feet, or of a petite frame may want to consider this neck pillow. Incidentally, this neck pillow also makes a great travel pillow because it will fit into your carry on luggage.
Traction Neck Pillow
If you have been diagnosed with a "military" neck, or loss of cervical lordosis in your cervical spine, then consider the Cervical traction neck pillow. This neck pillow has a dual purpose- it serves to give traction to the neck, stretches the neck muscles and providing the curve back into your neck. The other side of this neck pillow serves as a great support pillow.
Travel Neck Pillow
Perhaps you are a frequent flier. A good travel neck pillow will now allow you to sleep upright without straining your neck to the side or going back wards. You want a neck pillow that is affordable, comfortable, easty to pack and simple to care for. Often these travel neck pillows will be u-shaped making them very versatile.
Memory Foam Neck Pillow
A foam neck pillow is composed of polyurethane with additional chemicals that add to its viscosity level, thereby increasing its density. It is often referred to as visco-elastic polyurethane foam. Depending on the chemicals used and its overall density, it is firmer in cool temperatures and softer when warm. Higher density memory foam reacts to body heat which allows it to mould itself to the shape of a warm body within a few minutes. A lower density memory foam is pressure-sensitive and will mould more quickly to the shape of the body. Consider the Mid Size Memory Foam Neck Pillow.

Why does a herniated or bulging disc cause neck pain?
Our cervical traction neck pillow often helps individuals who experience neck pain associated with numbness and tingling into the arms and the hands. In particular when a person has a bulging or herniated disc in the cervical spine, pressure is put on the cervical spine nerves. The cervical traction neck pillow puts the proper c curve in your spine when you are sleeping, taking the pressure off of your spine, thereby decreasing the symptoms related to a herniated disc. We received this testimonial from a neck pain sufferer:
"This pillow is fabulous. I had neck pain with tingling radiating down my arm to my index finger. (Obviously a bulging cervical disk/pinched nerve.) To treat myself, I stopped my usual exercise routines for awhile to let myself heal, took anti-inflammatories for a couple of weeks, bought this pillow and the books "Treat Your Own Neck Pain" and "Treat Your Own Back Pain." Long and short, I was 100% better after a few weeks without the huge expenditure of time and money required for treatment by doctors or physical therapists. A few months later, and I'm still pain free and have no physical restrictions whatsoever.
I have to wonder if the people who found the pillow uncomfortable did not follow the directions that say to ease into using it by gradually increasing the time of use. I, too, found it a bit uncomfortable at first, but that quickly passed by using it as directed. I'm still using it now b/c I'm such a believer. It provides light cervical traction while lying on your back (with an optional simple neck support if you turn it around). Better yet (at least for me), for long term use, it provides perfect support for your neck when sleeping on either side so long as you move to the proper position on the pillow as indicated by the directions.
I split my time between the US and Europe, and this pillow always goes with me. It's one of the best purchases I've made.
