My son seems to have broken his Basketball hoop that’s inside the house. This way it can go up and stay where we put it so for example when you turn five you move your hoop to height five. When he’s six you can move it up to six, or just move it up whenever he’s ready. Of course, somehow he broke the piece that holds the hoop up at that level,so we have to find something to hold the hoop at that level.
What do we do?; we can’t find that piece? Well, you must improvise. It’s analogous to your neck or spine. If you can’t fix it one way - try another. Whether that method is not feasible for you, or you’ve found something that works better. “Just Do It”!

“My Neck Hurts All The Time”
It’s no fun to be in pain, especially if it’s all the time! You need to ask yourself “What am I doing or not doing that is causing or not causing this pain?” Or “What is making it worse or better?”
The big thing to know is that it most likely won’t get better on its own, and may very get worse as time goes on.
So, here’s a few things to start doing:
- Start using a neck pillow - you may not be used to one, so it can take some getting used too.
- Have a daily neck stretch and exercise routine. The key here is “regular”. Even when things are feeling better, you need to stick with your regimen.
- Let the hot water from the shower soak on that neck. It’s like a hot pack relaxing and loosening muscles.
